Today is mainly a day for cleaning, errands and a bit of schooling thrown into the mix. I have tons of laundry to go through. Emily has too many clothes so I have been weeding through them. I just don't know of anyone smaller than her to wear them. I'll probably just save them for another yard sale. So much junk around here!
Becca is trying to get 2 days worth of seat work done so we can go visit my grandma on Friday. She's done so well with getting it done in the morning the past 2 weeks. I just need to keep her close at hand so she doesn't get distracted.
Emily is being my big helper in getting her room, bathroom and Becca's room cleaned up. She's also helped me with laundry.
After we get all this done, we need to run to the library and Target. Well, better get back to it...

We went to the Playroom yesterday and had a blast. For those of you that aren't familiar with the Playroom, it's just as it appears- one huge playroom! On one side, there is things for the younger children such as a jungle gym, a playhouse, teeter totter, dress up clothes, a small race track with scooters, and so much other fun stuff. On the other side, it was properly named the Inflation Station. There are 3 large inflatable jumping things with jousting, slides, and obstacle course. There is also an air hockey table and foos ball table. For the adults, they have laptops set out for free internet use and even a massaging chair. There is only one way in or out so you really can let your children run free without the worry of something bad happening. They also keep it very clean.

We took H. and B. and they had a blast! It took B. awhile to warm up to the idea of getting on the equipment. I took several photos of him just checking things out. He was so funny! After he got used to the idea, it was impossible to get him off! H. took off as soon as we got there. Her favorite was the slides.
Becca had a friend there, as we invited other homeschoolers and made it a "field trip". She loves playing with V. as you can see in some of the pictures. What's really great is that V. goes to our church and is very active in homeschool activities and co-ops.
With public school getting out soon, I don't foresee us going again until the fall. I can't stand to go when it is crowded. Something to look forward to...

Just wanted to post a quick update on our family... We are all doing great! It was hard last week to get back into the swing of things but we made it.

Jay seemed to have a pretty easy week at work. That's always nice after a week of vacation. We already have our next trip to Disney planned out for the fall so his next quest is preparing for a Disney cruise. It's very expensive but everyone who has gone on it has said it was a great experience- especially with children. Is it a trip for the girls or us?

Rebecca had a really hard time going "back to school" but with some encouragement, has gotten back into the groove. She played her last soccer game of the season and scored the first goal of the game. That put her in game mode and her team won! YAHOO! Actually, they won most of their games this season. Grandma with Red hair and Aunt Kim came up to see her game so she was in heaven.

I started Emily back on her schooling. I had given her a break because it wasn't sinking in at the time. She's still young so I thought if I waited a bit and focused less on academics and more on the "fun" stuff, it'd all work out. I was right. She knows all her letters- capital and lower case- as well as their sounds. She worked on blends today and did wonderfully. We're still working on recognizing the numbers but she's picking it up fast. She has always excelled at the reading readiness activities and crafts that we do.

Both girls went to a nursing home on Sat. with the children's choir to sing and hand out flowers to. They both had a blast. It was neat to see all the children giving hugs and talking to the elderly. Of course, my favorite part is watching them both sing.

As far as I go, I'm doing well. Just my regular day in day out stuff. I prefer it that was. I hate craziness. I have gotten to spend lots of quality time with my husband, girls, sister, and God. Well, the girls are hungry and requesting fruit smoothies so off I must go!

Downtown Disney

Downtown Disney is one of our favorite places to go. It has some wonderful stores that go on and on. We love eating at the Rainforest Cafe. The lego store is a place for Becca and Jay to hang out and build things with the tiny legos. They have 6 or so circle centers with various types of legos to build anything you can imagine. Emily prefers to play in the playhouse beside the Lego store. There's so much to see and do there. At night, the trees twinkle. There is Disney music being piped through. Pin Traders is where we spent most of our time this trip. We even had to go back Friday night to get Jay some more pins. It's a magical place to shop.

Donald cracks Becca up because he gets angry so easily. In this photo, she's giving it back to him!
Gotta love Daisy! We spent so much time in this store, Pin Traders. It's become one of Jay's favorite stores. Although I really do love the Bibbidy, Bobbidy, Boutique. It's so girlie with all the princess stuff!

Can you see the chocolate on Emily's face from Godiva's?

Emily loves to wear anything girlie. Here she is trying on a pretty headband.

Too cute in the princess hat with Minnie ears.

Becca is trying to find just the perfect watch for her. "There's just so much to choose from!"

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

Isn't this an awesome picture of Angie and Morgan on the bumper cars?

A huge gator!
I absolutely love this picture of Becca getting eaten by the hippo. If any of you know me well enough, I've had a fascination of hippos my entire life.

I love this one of all 3 girls at the Rhino Rally ride.

MGM Studios

Here are just a couple pictures of Disney's MGM studios. I have the rest of the pictures on a different memory card that I haven't uploaded yet. I'll share those with you when I get the chance. I didn't go camera happy on this trip because I already have so many pictures from our past trips.
Oh, before I go, I'll share this quick story with you. Emily still takes a nap daily and it was very hard for her to stay awake each day on the trip. She actually had a "nap" in some form each day. By the afternoon, she had had it with the "adult" shows that they have at MGM. She wasn't impressed with the Stunt show, Indiana Jones (which she slept through), or Back Lot Tour. After we saw the Muppet's 3D show, we were figuring out where to go to next before we saw Fantasmic. She pointed at Jay and said, "I don't want to go anywhere he wants to go". I said "Who Daddy?" She replies emphatically, "YES! I don't want to go anywhere he wants to go!" That was a 4 year old saying enough of your trip, this is for me!So, we did the Muppet's 3D again and all were happy.
Well, I need to run and get Becca started on some school work. Hopefully it'll be an easy transition back into reality since she's been out of school for 2 weeks now.

We're back!!!

Our vacation was absolutely wonderful- how could a trip to Orlando not be? Seeing our friends, Angie and Morgan was great! We drove all night to get the early Sat. morning. We met Angie at the hotel, freshened up and had breakfast. Then we went to Sea World. Here are a couple pictures of the children at Sea World.

A new blog...

This blog is to keep those that we don't get to see or chat with regularly up to date on what's going on with us! I may switch my homeschool blog over to this one. I haven't decided yet. I guess it will depend on how long it takes me to get this one put together.

I'm debating letting Emily stay up from naptime today. She has a nasty cold and is quit cranky. However, I really would like her to sleep well tonight. It'll be difficult enough sleeping in the car while on our way to Disney World. WAHOO!! Another trip south!

This will be my third time in the past 15 months. We really enjoy going (obviously!). Of course the girls think it's normal to go and don't realize what a blessing it is. Most children don't get to go quite as often as us, if at all. We really are blessed of God!
Well, I guess I should go check on Emily and finish packing. Until next time...
