It's Springtime and that means different things for different people.  For me, it means a variety of weather- warm to cold in one day!, flowers and trees blooming, lots of rain, open windows, and SOCCER!
The girls were able to be on the same teams as they were last season.  The first game was rained out but was rescheduled at the end of the season.  Since then, they had a great week of weather and then it got cold with threatening weather.  As it rained all Thursday night and Friday, I thought for sure their games would be canceled but lo and behold, the sun came out and the girls were not only able to play but had pictures as well!
I have stopped purchasing pictures as it seems to be a waste of money.  I take my own and am happy with it.  Here are the group shots I took Saturday as they were posing for the photographer as well as a couple others.
Becca's team played wonderful this past Saturday.  They won 9-0 (last week was 2-0).
Emily's team has been on a losing strike and this game was no different in that aspect.  BUT, the girls played better than they have in the last 2 seasons and I'm proud of all of them.  Emily did great as defender in protecting the goal- there is no goalie at this level.  They lost 2-5 I believe but it was how they played, not the score, that I loved watching and cheering for.
