More pictures of the girls and Rosie

Although she looks bigger in this photo than she actually is, Rosie is now 3 months old. (I think it was the angle of the camera and the fact that Rebecca is leaning backwards.)
She went to the vet for another round of puppy shots on the 12 week mark and weighed in at a whopping 4 pounds. She is quite the little chunker. She is getting bigger but in the previous pictures, you can see, she is still quite small.
She still gets car sick but the vet said that when she is older, we can give her Dramamine. She will take her first big trip to visit my grandma next week. She is not an outdoor dog but don't tell her that. She loves to run through a pile of leaves and dig in the dirt. She has a monkey for her favorite toy. She has learned to sit and we're working on shake. She is fast as lightening when going up the stairs therefore we still have baby gates up trapping her in the kitchen/family room area. She does stay upstairs with us most of the time during school hours. She plays in the school room but if she starts making too much of a distraction, she gets put in the pack-n-play for a nap. House training is still iffy. Some days she does great with no accidents and others (mostly Saturdays) we just can't stay on top of it!
My vocabulary has widened greatly. I've seen just about every Yorkie Poo website out there and done extensive research on both Yorkies and Poodles. Our newest term that we are having to deal with is "submissive urination".
Here's the best way to describe it if you are unfamiliar with the term:
"Submissive urination is done instinctively by a dog who's trying to make it as clear as he can, in dog language, that he knows you're the boss! Unlike normal urination, submissive urination is usually accompanied by other signals of submission such as lowered ears, lowered tail, lowering his body or sometimes even laying down and rolling over. "
She pees whenever she sees Jay after he's been gone for awhile. She loves him the best and gets so excited when she hears his footsteps or hears his voice. She goes crazy jumping around, clawing at the gate if he's out of the room, barking... Once he enters the room or speaks, she does the above examples listed. It's hard for him to ignore her but that is what he has to do so that she will grow out of this dirty little habit of hers.
We all love our newest member of our family. She sure does make things interesting!
~Rebecca's first game of the season~

Rebecca had a lot of fun out there playing this past Sat. It was her first game of the season and due to the weather and a previous engagement, she had not had any practices with her team. Here's part of the e-mail sent to us after the game by her coach summing up the game.
"In the end, we lost the game 4-3. I was excited to see that the goals scored were all based on team work. Rebecca had a great shot that Cameron followed up into the goal, Caroline sent Atoria a great cross for our second goal and right at the end, Rebecca passed to Lexie, who passed to Caroline, who put the ball in the net for the crazy comets. There was also some impressive efforts in the goal. Great game, girls!"

~Emily's first game of the season~

Did I mention that it was in the upper 30's out there!
It turned out that both girls games were at the exact same time. Jay went to Em's game and took pictures while I went to Rebecca's game.
It was beyond cold out there, her coach was out of town, they only had one practice which was in the rain... all of that equaled to a not so great game for her team! They lost beyond belief but Emily scored 2 out of the four goals scored by her team.
Go Ems!

Rock Smashing Time

With the large rocks that the girls collected when we went gem hunting last fall, they were itching to smash them up.

hammer,check...protective eye gear, check...game face on, check...

going through the rubble
They smashed all sorts of rocks looking for gems on the inside. They were let down but had a lot of fun and made a big mess. Once it came time to clean it up before Daddy got home, they were wishing we didn't have a paved driveway.

Monkey-doodle Emily

This was taken 2 weeks ago at the park after softball practice.

It was Emily's first time going across the monkey bars. I'm glad I was paying attention instead of gabbing to the other moms and that I actually got it on video. We haven't been to the park in ages. Actually, I think the last time we did it was with the Migliore group before they moved across the world. So, not since July atleast...Anyway, she hasn't practiced so I was surprised when she went across without falling.

Above is a picture of the winning team from Game Day. I "borrowed" this picture from Heather since I didn't get one of my own. *Thanks girl!
I have some pictures to share with you from our evening with my sister and her husband as well as pictures from the girls first soccer games. I will post those as soon as I get them uploaded.
My goal for this week is to declutter my house. Some friends and I are having a big yard sale in a couple of weeks and I have so much to get rid of. I love spring cleaning!!!

They had to pass the balloon between their legs and the last person had to pop it.

Psalm 100:2 "Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing."
One of the greatest joys Jay and I have is to be able to serve in the jr. church ministry in our church. Jay and I have been apart of this ministry since 1998. While at our previous church, he was out there full time until a little over 2 years ago. I helped him for a number of years and them taught a 2 year old class for four years. Currently, we both are in jr. church once a month and it's a lot of fun. I just happened to have my camera with me so I took a few pictures and videos of those crazy kids.
