Tonight, we went to the zoo to see a live re-enactment of the Christmas story featuring animals. It is called Miracle of Christmas. I didn't take my camera so I pulled these photos from the zoo's website. It was very good and very cold. I wish they had taken a photo of the angels in the sky announcing the birth to the shepherds. That was my favorite part. The pictures don't show you how many animals they used or the smell from the animals but you can use your imagination! Enjoy looking at these. Please remember in all the rushing and preparing for Christmas to stop and think on the true meaning!
Merry Christmas!
"And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary."
Luke 2:7
"And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn."
Luke 2:8-11
"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."

"And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger." Luke 2: 15-16
