as the week comes to a close...

The weather has been absolutely beautiful here this week. It has put me in "spring mode". Well, not the cleaning part but I'm dying to be outside. The girls and I drop into bed at night and head outdoors each morning!
Thurs. was a bit on the chilly side until after noon. The girls didn't notice though. We headed out to the park sometime after 10 a.m. to play with friends from co-op. The girls and Brysen had a blast. I got to chat the whole time so I had a blast as well. We didn't leave until after 3:30.
After a day spent at the park, the girls had AWANA games practice at church (both at different times). They went with their daddy and had some special time with him while the other was practicing. They didn't get home until well after 9 p.m. Talk about being exhausted!!!
Friday morning was the dress sale. It's a fabulous sale of girls dresses- mostly church dresses- in a warehouse about 30 minutes away. I have heard about it for years but have never had the desire to go, until this year. It's only open 2 or 3 times a year and Rebecca was in great need of church dresses. We left home at 7 a.m. and got home at 12:30. The girls did great because they had a bunch of friends go with us.
I bought Rebecca 7 dresses and Emily 3. Emily shouldn't have gotten any because she has dresses coming out of her ears but they were just too cute to resist. Now, I'm trying to sell many of Emily's clothes from last spring and summer as well as their toys to pay for the dresses and my speeding ticket :/
After lunch yesterday, the girls had to get some schooling done. Emily had a total melt down after reading a book to me so I told her to go lay down. She fell asleep at the foot of her bed! I guess she couldn't crawl all the way to the head of the bed???
Rebecca was doing great, no complaints coming from her but she could barely keep her eyes open. After 4 lessons, I asked her if she wanted to lay down. They both snoozed away until Emily's soccer practice.
She was very hesitant at practice last night but was thrilled that Brysen is on her team. Boy, did I have to pull some strings to make that happen! Today was their first game but she missed it to play in the AWANA games. I took pics and have a few things to add about today after I upload those photos.
After soccer practice, we went over to a friends house to have dinner and hang out with them and another couple. I seriously had full intentions of coming home by 10, with them living 30 minutes away I knew that would be hard to do. I really don't know when we left but Emily had another meltdown-hello! she was up at 6:15 in the morning!!!- and as she was crying, declared she wasn't tired because she hadn't yawned once. I think we got home around 12:30 a.m. We are exhausted!!!
Everyone else is laying down right now so I think it would be wise of me to join them!
Be sure to check back later on pictures and scores from the games today. They were awesome and my throat hurts from screaming.
