no pictures :o(

I am thoroughly dissapointed at the moment. I have taken 155 pictures and videos and I can't upload them on the computer. The memory card reader is broke and won't work. It was acting up the other day but I didn't think too much of it.
We had a great day and there's still more to come. We leave for the cruise tomorrow so I won't be back online until Thursday. Check back later then to see if we made it to Walmart to purchase a new one. Off to Downtown Disney now...

And we're off...

First stop:
McDonalds for breakfast- unless we see something on the way that is better.
Second Stop:
We will stay at Sea World until we get tired. This is usually around 1 or 2 p.m.
Then to the house that we love so dearly for a much needed nap.

pool that we will not use due to the cold temperatures

Stay tuned for more...

Brysen's Skating Party

On Saturday, the girls went to Brysen's 6th birthday party at the local skating rink. Here are a few of the MANY pictures I took. I put most of them on Facebook so I really feel that this is enough to put on here. You can view the others on Facebook if you are a "friend" :o)

Rebecca and Halley

triple trouble

These guys have been long time friends. Halley came into our life at 13 months old (her and Em are less than 3 weeks apart). Brysen, who is 5 months younger, came into our life before her was 2 years old. They are all 6 years old now and growing up sooo fast!

the 4 amigos

my superstar!!!

I had some free time today after church. My dear sweet Disney obsessed husband was chatting about whatelse? Disney with some friends. Don't get me wrong, I love Walt Disney World. I love going and talking about it with other Disney addicts.
Anyways, while they were chatting and I had my camera, I decided to get a few pictures of the girls in thier pretty dresses.

Aren't they beautiful?

Calvary's Little Blessings

It took me awhile but I finally figured it out. In order to get a good picture or video of the jr. choir, I need to sit in the very back on an end pew. I usually sit in the second or third pew for every service but it's so hard to get a good picture of all the children without anyone else in the picture. Next month, I'll have some good pictures of these precious children doing a wonderful job singing for the Lord.
This definitely wasn't the greatest of pictures but it was the best I could do today.
The choir is still singing and the children were finding their right places on the steps.
Due to the shoulders or head of the jr. choir director and helper in front of me, I could only video the right side of the group. Worked for me since both my girlies are on the far right side!

small collage of today's basketball game
They are still undefeated!
They were up against a pretty strong team but held up.
They won 34-22.
Rebecca was fouled but unfortunately, she didn't make either of her foul shots.
She hard a hard time defending her girls but managed to get one good shot in.
I absolutely love watching her play any sport.
She plays with all her heart and does her best.
As soon as basketball season is over, she goes straight into soccer. Actually, both girls are going to play soccer so our Saturdays will become even more hectic. sigh...
I love it though.
Playing around with more pictures. Boy this is very time consuming but very fun!

7 more days until we sail away with Mickey.

I'm dreaming of Castaway Cay.

Here we come... Just one more week...

11 days until we are at Disney World!!!
I so cannot wait!!!

National Skate Month

January is National Skate month!
I just happened to catch an e-mail saying that our local ice skating rink was giving a free ice skating lesson so we signed up for it. Rebecca has been looking forward to going ice skating for quite awhile now. Several years ago, my friend took her ice skating and she has always been wanting to go back.
This was Emily's first time on the ice and I didn't risk it. I didn't need a sore rear or hip.
It was hard on their ankles but they really enjoyed it. Both girls got the hang of it and were doing pretty good by the time it was over. With 2 "buy one admission-get one free" coupons, we will certainly be going back.
Ok, I think we're ready to go on the ice.

Maybe Rebecca needs those buckets back.

I can do it! I can do it!

Ouch! I fell and hit my head on the wall trying to stop.

This was at the end when they were told that time was up. Rebecca had to get one more lap in before she was ready to take the skates off.
And thanks to Brysen turning 6, the girls are getting to go roller skating this Saturday. Yah! Lots of skating!

AWANA Accomplishments

Rebecca and Emily have both completed their books!!! This is a huge accomplishment! I cannot begin to tell you of the joy and yes, pride that I have in our girls.
Emily is now working on a separate workbook. In the workbook, she has 20 sections to complete. It is a mixture of scripture memorization and activities. It'll be fun and she'll earn her second Sparky pin.

Rebecca is going back through the book and doing the silver and gold sections for each Discovery. There are 8 Discoveries. Silver sections review the verses, questions and answers learned in each discovery and add 4 new verses to learn to go with the theme of that Discovery. Gold sections are some sort of project. There are 2 gold projects for each Discovery. The first of Discovery 1 gold's projects is to write a paragraph on 3 Bible characters including their parenting style. She chose Hannah, Jochebed and Abraham. The second thing Rebecca has to do is to make a family newspaper. She has been working on this for several weeks now. She'll turn it in this Sunday. All that's left is to type it up, put pictures to it and print it off. We've asked her daddy to help with that portion of it since I'm unfamiliar with Publisher. She'll share it on her blog after it's completed.

There is a theme for each week at Awana. This week was Affliction day and the children were to dress up as if they were afflicted- hence the bandages, black eye and brace. Rebecca also had her left arm bandaged up and Emily had 2 fingers taped together. That was as far as they wanted to dress up so we didn't go overboard this time.
Awana is a great program for those children who are being raised in Christian homes as well as being an outreach to the lost in the area. We have several children come to Awana that do not go to church anywhere. These children are being witnessed to, giving their hearts to Jesus and learning scripture about how they are to live in ways that is relevant to them as children. Great program! 2 Timothy 2:15
