After Rebecca's friend got a wii fit for Christmas, the girls have been wanting one. Then a friend invited us over for an evening and Jay and I were able to play on it, we decided that it really was something that we wanted. Plus, she's lost a total of 23 pounds on it so far!!! Jay did tons of research on it and was determined to get a wii along with the wii fit. Unfortunately, they are sold out in both the stores and on line. He had a list of 17 different stores that he called each day.
He finally found the wii fit and controls so he snatched those up. Too bad we couldn't use them... He called a Walmart that is in a lower economic area than us and they just had a shipment of 2 come in. He heads over there as soon as he got off work. The first thing he sees is a man being held down by 2 security officers waiting for the police. He goes straight for the electronics area and the guy was handing one to someone else. Thankfully Jay was there to take the second one and wasn't too late. As he was getting the wii, another guy was there to get it. Jay went and paid for it and got out of there as fast as he could in fear of being robbed for it. The wii and wii fit are both in high demand and are almost impossible to get.
Thank you Lord that he was diligent enough to keep searching for one for us.
I would say that I've gotten a lot of use out of it but I have to sneak to play it. If the girls see it's on and all schooling is done for the day, they'll be under my feet until I surrender the game over to them. Once Jay gets home, he's in control and I'm down for good unless I want to play what he's playing. I'm not complaining though. I've had lots of laughs either playing or watching my family play.
Here's a short video of the girls boxing on the wii. They really get a workout!
