Our first Monday of summer break has been pretty terrific. The girls slept in until 8:45, allowing me to sleep in as well. When I realized the time, I immediately thought of the dog. She usually goes out by 8 a.m. Boy was she ready to go out for her potty break by then. I am so thankful that everyone let me sleep in this morning!
Rebecca injured her foot yesterday so she's loving the excuse of being helpless. The girls are playing Barbies together in the playroom. I love that they are so close and play so well together. I sure do hope that it stays like that through adulthood. I am also glad that they can play in the playroom. I didn't realize until lately that they were so over scheduled with so many different activities that there wasn't time allowed for them to just be girls and play.
We only have 2 evenings of commitment over the summer, allowing the girls lots of needed free time. Once Neighborhood Bible Time is over (the week of June 15-19th), we will have a fun summer of being able to come and go as we please.
As for today, we are going to run a few errands this afternoon. One of those errands will be a quick trip to Walmart to get a memory card reader for the laptop. The main pc is still out of commission at the moment. I have some great pictures from Memorial Day and other activities that I want to share. So, be prepared in the next couple of days to see lots of updates on our family blog!
