Why did God make mothers?

I received one of those e-mails where the teacher asked her class of second graders these questions and recorded the funny ones. I asked the same questions to Emily and Rebecca. Although their responses aren't anything worth passing along, I enjoyed hearing what they had to say.

Why did God make mothers?
Em~ to take care of children
Bec~ to take care of us and help us when we are in trouble and to guide us


How did God make mothers?
Em~ well, God made Adam and Eve out of dust of the ground... well, He made Adam out of dust but Eve out of Adams rib. Then it keeps going on and on but they come out as babies and grow up to be Mommies.
Bec~When Adam fell asleep and God took a rib and made Eve. And they had children and the girls grew up to be Moms.


What ingredients are mothers made of ?
Em~ sweetness, lovingness
Bec~love, kindness, caring, helpful, someone you can talk to


Why did God give you your mother and not some other mom?
Em~ because that's just what He planned for us
Bec~ because she's the one who'll take care of me and homeschool us


What kind of little girl was your mom?
Em~ that I don't know
Bec~ I don't know


What did Mom need to know about dad before she married him?
Em~ If he was a Christian.
Bec~ Was he saved?


Why did your mom marry your dad?
Em~ that's something I don't know
Bec~ because she loved him


Who's the boss at your house?
Em~ Daddy and Mommy
Bec~ Daddy


What's the difference between moms & dads?
Em~ Well, Mommy is a girl and Daddy is a boy
Bec~ Dads go to work and moms stay home and take care or us


What does your mom do in her spare time?
Em~cooks or helps us in school
Bec~read


What would it take to make your mom perfect?
Em~ She already is except sometimes she lies to me like yesterday she said we'd give the dog a bath and we didn't.
Bec~nothing


If you could change one thing about your mom, what would it be?
Em~I wouldn't because she is a good Mommy and I like the way she is
Bec~maybe she could get skinnier or something
