Saturday started with a bang- or a beep I should say. I awoke at 5:30 to use the bathroom(yes I'm getting old!). A few minutes before 6 a.m., the power went out. UGH! It was the coldest morning ever (well, of the season), reaching only 9 degrees and we were with out power.
The beeping you may wonder...our many battery back ups! We have 3 upstairs, including 1 in our room, and several downstairs. With all the fans off, all you heard was beep beep beep. And guess who slept through it? I had to wake Jay up to help me turn the battery backups off to stop the beeping.
We had to get up at 7 to get ready for Rebecca's game so I laid down in bed and snuggled up, not knowing how long the power was going to be out or how cold it was going to get in the house.
The temp only dropped 5* in here and thankfully the power was restored an hour later. Unfortunately, the pilot light was out and Jay didn't realize it until it was almost time to leave so we were up and getting ready without any heat.
The basketball game was so much fun to watch. Rebecca is no longer intimidated by the height of her opponents and plays very hard. They won by a landslide- over 20 points. Rebecca scored 10 of those points. They all played very well and the teamwork between the girls was the best. One of the girls was out vacationing at Great Wolf Lodge so one of the teams little sisters filled in.
She's only 6 and just a little bit taller than Becca. She fit in quite well, scoring several points in the game.
Go Team Go!
Go Team Go!
Bringing it down
losing control-- that's ok
she shoots, she scores
she shoots again
Thanks to Mackenzie for filling in so they didn't have to play the entire game.

It was a great game. Next weeks game should be good as the team they are playing has some good players on it. Very challenging for our girls team.

If you haven't made it to a game yet, I suggest you come watch them play. Every game is at 9 a.m. so a schedule isn't needed. They only last about an hour and you still have your entire day to do whatever you want.
